The illustration above shows the correct method for measuring the length of a Turnbuckle Rod.
The same system applies to all Turnbuckle Assemblies and Clevis Rod Assemblies. It is measured from the center of the Clevis Pin to the center of the opposite Clevis Pin. It will appear on drawings as;
COP/COP
(Center of Pin to Center of Pin)
