The illustration above shows the correct method for measuring the length of a Clevis Rod.
The same system applies to all Clevis Rod and Turnbuckle Assemblies. It is measured from the center of the Clevis Pin to the center of the opposite Clevis Pin. It will appear on drawings as;
COP/COP
(Center of Pin to Center of Pin)
