Slide Bearing Assembly with full welded elements. This configuration replaces the upper Fluorogold® or Teflon® Slide Bearing element with a polished stainless steel plate. The benefit is this system increases the psi capability from the standard 2,000 psi to 3,500 psi.
Upper Element :
10 gauge type 304 Stainless Steel polished to a 2b finish.
Lower Element :
3/32" thick Fluorogold® bonded to 10 gauge carbon steel backing plate, tack welded to the structural steel member or sole plate.
Loads : 75 psi to 3,500 psi
Temperature : -320° to +400° F
Slide Bearing backing plates can be:
Carbon Steel (CS)
Stainless Steel (SS)
Corten Steel (CT)
Aluminum (AL)
Galvanized Carbon Steel (GL)
Galvanizing can be Hot Dip or Electroplated
Overall height of the Slide Bearing can be increased by increasing the thickness of the element :
