The Steel Supply Company provides steel wedges to Steel Fabricators, Concrete and Masonry Contractors and the general construction trades. Often the customers' requirements can be met with stock sizes as shown in our catalog.

The Steel Supply Company manufactures steel wedges both as standard stock sizes and made to order per customer's specifications. A wide range of tools and manufacturing processes are employed and, as with any process like this, costs are kept to the minimum that will allow a high-quality finished part. Nonetheless customers are frequently surprised at the difficulty of wedge manufacturing.

Most steel wedges are hard enough to perform a variety of tasks. Our customers are Steel Fabricators, Steel Erectors, Concrete Contractors and a variety of other construction trades. We’ve seen them use steel wedges for everything from leveling staircases to elevating entire structures. Often steel erectors and Concrete Contractors will have them at the jobsites not knowing what they will be used for, but knowing for sure they will be used.

Steel Wedges are among the most basic and yet unique products our steel fabricating customers use. They are used for almost everything, from separating heavy plates in the shop, to with an erector lift for extremely heavy objects, to shimming stair stringers.

One of the most basic and yet most demanding of our product lines is the Steel Wedge. Once a fabricator or erector recognizes the need for a custom size wedge there are few shortcuts and rarely does the quantity required justify creating re-useable, hard tooling.
