Slide Bearing Assembly with tack or full welded elements. This configuration incorporates 1/4" thick commercial grade neoprene in the lower element, which is beneficial to allow for rotation, deflection, expansion and vibration. The FC-1010-CS 1/4 NRT 1/4 CS differs from the FC-1010-CS NRT in that it has a lower element plate that is a minimum of 1/4" thick carbon steel. This allows for a range of welding and attachment options.
Upper Element :
3/32" thick Fluorogold® bonded to 10 gauge carbon steel backing plate, tack welded to the structural steel member or sole plate.
Lower Element :
3/32" thick Fluorogold® bonded to 10 gauge carbon steel backing plate, then vulcanized to 1/4" thick commercial grade neoprene which is vulcanized to 1/4" thick steel. The thickness of the neoprene and the steel plates are variable. Although not shown in the drawing below there is an option to connect the lower element with Machine Screws. The lower Slide Bearing Element can also be secured with the typical tack or full weld.
Loads : 75 psi to 800 psi
Temperature : -50° to +200° F
Slide Bearing backing plates can be:
Carbon Steel (CS)
Stainless Steel (SS)
Corten Steel (CT)
Aluminum (AL)
Galvanized Carbon Steel (GL)
Galvanizing can be Hot Dip or Electroplated
